Isnt Your Brand What You Want Your Clients To Think About You

Developing the Next Generation of Rainmakers Isn’t Your “Brand’ What You Want Your Clients to Think About You? Over the last year there has been some debate raging about “branding” for lawyers. If you want to get a picture of the debate read Rethinking Personal Branding for Lawyers. I prefer to not join the debate because I believe it is more about a marketing label than a substantive point. When I was building my law practice, I never thought about branding. I likely never heard the word used in connection with practicing law.  I focused on what I wanted my clients to think about me.  I wanted to be perceived by transportation construction contractors as: I practiced law for 37 years developing a national construction law practice representing some of the top highway and transportation construction contractors in the US.
